What are your choices?

If you are planning on taking the Divemaster Internship program you will living in West End for at least 6 weeks. This means you need somewhere to live at a reasonable cost.

So what are your options?

Option 1
Take advantage of the accommodation provided by Reef Gliders throughout your stay. We provide accommodation at Casa Del Sol (www.casadelsolroatan.com) for the duration of your stay included in the price of your internship.

Casa Del Sol is conveniently located about a 2 minute walk from the heart of West End and Half Moon Bay Beach. Each room is clean and comfortable. These are not dorm rooms so you will not be sharing with a large group of people. Each room is private with no other people sharing.

 

Option 2
As West End is the heart and soul of tourism and night life on Roatan, there are a number of cheap apartments to rent on a monthly basis. Some people prefer to rent an apartment for the duration of their stay to give them a few more home comforts (e.g. kitchen facilities etc.).

Apartments can be rented for between $350-600 per month. A good option is to share a 2-bed apartment with another divemaster trainee to keep costs down. There are plenty of people working in the dive industry around West End so you can usually find something within a few days of arriving on the island. In the meantime, it makes sense to book a room or cabana in one of the many small hotels in the area.
